Set your fitness baseline
Enter a recent 5K benchmark or, with permission, use running history from Apple Health to estimate VDOT-derived training ranges.
YOUR CURRENT FITNESSBuilt for runners, not record keeping
Climate Pace turns temperature, humidity, dew point, and air quality into a clearer pace expectation—before you head out and after the run is done.
Conditions change the number—not the workout
Keep recording with the tools you already trust. Climate Pace is the calm layer between your training plan and the conditions outside.
How it works
Enter a recent 5K benchmark or, with permission, use running history from Apple Health to estimate VDOT-derived training ranges.
YOUR CURRENT FITNESSRecovery, easy, long run, steady, tempo, intervals, or speed—because weather doesn’t affect every workout the same way.
YOUR INTENTCompare your normal range with an estimated climate-adjusted range while keeping the intended effort front and center.
TODAY’S EXPECTATIONInside the app
From choosing the best hour to understanding yesterday’s effort, every screen is designed to answer one practical runner question.
Plan the window
Hourly conditions translate into pace cost, AQI, and a recommended window—so “run before it gets hot” becomes an actual decision.
Lowest combined heat + air-quality burden · +12 sec/mi
Normal pace first. Climate-adjusted pace beneath it.
Keep the workout honest
Your VDOT-derived guide keeps normal pace, today’s pace, and target RPE together—from recovery running through speed repetitions.
Understand the result
See conditions at the start, average, and maximum—then compare the recorded pace with ideal or custom conditions using transparent sliders.
Equivalent pace in ideal conditions.
After the run
Imported-run insights compare what you recorded with what the same effort may have looked like in ideal—or custom—conditions.
Compared with ideal running conditions.
Built with restraint
Use Apple Workout, Garmin, Strava, or your preferred running app. Climate Pace reads permitted history; it never starts a workout.
Air quality changes guidance, not pace arithmetic. Slowing down does not make unhealthy air safe.
Model versions and uncertainty remain visible. Climate Pace explains assumptions instead of pretending conditions are perfectly predictable.
Apple Health access is read-only and optional. Manual benchmarks and conditions keep the core experience available without a connection.

Good questions
No. Continue recording with Apple Workout, Garmin, Strava, or another app. Climate Pace is for planning and interpreting climate effects.
They are VDOT-derived training pace estimates based on a recent race benchmark or a fitness baseline you confirm. They are guidance, not an official prescription or race prediction.
No. AQI is treated separately as a health warning. The app will never imply that running slower makes unhealthy air safe.
You can enter a benchmark manually and preview conditions yourself. Health access is optional and read-only.
No. Heat response varies by runner, duration, acclimation, route, sun, and other factors. Climate Pace presents an estimate and its assumptions rather than a guarantee.
